Just six months since the previous models came out. It's already time for Realme's new mid-rangers including the realme 8 Pro, what's changed let's go over its key features and find out.
The Realme 8 Pro brings a new bold design that features a glossy finish and a prominent 'Dare to Leap' logo on the backside. The 8 Pro is made of plastic and the back panel has a texture to it, that feels fuzzy's not joking. Besides that, the phone is quite thin and rather light in the hand. The Realme 7 Pro advertised water-resistant coating as a layer of protection for the internals but we've heard no mention of that here.

The Realme 8 Pro's screen is a 6.4 inch
AMOLED panel with a 1080p resolution and standard refresh rate. Just like last year, there is a small upgrade though. Now it's got a higher 180Hz charge sampling rate for better responsiveness, like when gaming but you still have the same chipset as a snapdragon 720G built on an 8nm processor.
The major upgrade you'll get on the Realme 8 Pro is with the camera. This time around the main camera has a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 sensor. We'll see how its performance compares to the 64-megapixel one on the Realme 7 Pro. You also get the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and 2-megapixel macro camera here as on the previous model, but there's also a new 2-megapixel black and white portrait lens rather than a depth sensor and there's been a change in the front-facing camera too. Now there's a 16-megapixel unit rather than 32-megapixel.

And the final difference I'll talk about here is the speaker. For some reason, while the last model had stereo speakers. This one has just a single bottom-firing one next to the headphone jack.
The rest is the same as you have a 4,500mAh battery capacity as well as support for 50W Super Dart charging and a bundled 65W adapter. Realme claims you can charge from 0 to 50 per cent in just 17 minutes, great if you're on the go.
Waking up and unlocking the Realme 8 Pro is done with an under-display fingerprint scanner and you have 128GB of storage on one expandable board.
Finally, the Realme 8 Pro comes with Realme UI 2.0 out of the box, on top of Android 11. It's better optimized than the previous, which should lead to faster and smoother performance.

So there you have it guys compared to the previous model. Most of the package including the chipset is pretty much the same. Except you miss out on stereo speakers but you do get the new 108-megapixel main camera. So hopefully the difference in photo quality is enough to make the trade-off worth it.
thanks for reading guys stay safe and I'll see you soon with our full review.
